"Leah, Leah, Leah, my dear sweet Leah, how does your garden grow?"

My true love has my heart, and I have his. Together in marriage, together at heart. In good times and hard. In sickness and in health. For now and forever.

Rules for Life

My Rules for Life (So Far)

I belive in living my own life according to my own rules. I hate rules that are unfair and unjust and therefore I created my own guide that I can live by, with minimum regrets and difficult, confusing decisions. I got the idea from Gibbs (NCIS) and thought it was a perfect way to have some control in my life, especially when I have little control over anything but my actions....

 Here is my list:

1. Learn the Rules so you can learn how to break them properly.
2. Live a good and honorable life.
3. Respect yourself, respect others, show respect in your actions.
4. Never take a person's dignity from them. It means nothing to you and everything to them.
5. Never screw over your closest friends, family and partner.
6. Never take anything for granted.
7. Do what you have to for family.
8. Don't waste good.
9. Never go anywhere without a knife (unless you absolutely  have to).
10. Sing in the shower.
11. Watch a sunrise somewhere you've never been, once a year.
12. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.
13. Your friends will love you anyways.
14. Don't worry about what people think. They don't do it very often.
15. Never make excuses.
16. Take into account that great love and great achievements involve great risk.
17. When you lose, don't lose the lesson.
18. Clean up the mess you make and never leave behind loose ends.
19. It's better to seek forgiveness than ask permission.
20. Best way to keep a secret? Keep it to yourself. Second best? Tell one other person, if you must. There is no Third best.
21. Don't believe what you are told, double check.
22. If it seems like someone is out to get you, they are.
23. Always watch the watchers.
24. There is no such thing as a coincidence.
25. Don't apologize if you have don't nothing wrong. It is a sign of weakness.
26. Apologize when you are at fault. It is a sign of strength.
27. Plant a tree at least once in your life.
28. Don't be rude to waiters, repairmen, and other blue collar employees.
29. Needing someone is like needing a parachute: if they aren't there the first time, you probably won't be needing them again.
30. Never give up on yourself.
31. To ensure perfect aim, shoot first, then call whatever you hit the target.
32. Love and Hope will carry you through any challenging time or event.
33. Accept that some days you are the pigeon and some days you are the statue.
34. Love good and hate evil.
